How to Verify Your Bank Account

Payment Method: Bank Account Verification

Updated this week

Verifying Your Bank Account

When you add your bank account (routing and account number) to your Sunscription account, our payment partner Stripe will verify your account to make sure it’s really yours.

This can happen in one of two ways:

$0.01 Deposit with Code

  • Stripe will send a single $0.01 deposit to your bank.

  • In the deposit description, you’ll see a code in this format: SM1234 (the letters “SM” followed by 4 numbers).

  • These usually show up in your account within 1–2 business days.

OR

Two Small Deposits

  • Stripe may send two small deposits (for example, $0.55 and $0.15).

  • These usually show up in your account within 1–2 business days.

Next Steps – Check Your Email

To finish verification:

  1. Open the email and click the link.

  2. On Stripe’s secure page, enter either:

    • The 4-digit code from the $0.01 deposit, OR

    • The two deposit amounts you see in your bank account.

✅ Once you enter this information, your bank account will be verified and ready for payments.

Attempt Limits

You’ll have up to 10 attempts to enter the correct code

(If all attempts are used or the deposit expires, you’ll need to restart the process)
